Promise of the Week

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
John 3:16

 

Our promise makes two firm assertations

  1. The Messiah is the Son of God
  2. That God loves humanity so much that He would send that son to earth for the people

This promise has it’s roots in Genesis 3:15

Abrahams’s love for God was tested through his only son, But God’s love for us was proven through His only Son.
